Our lotions are water based and absolutely non-comedogenic. Our Brand name French Butter was derived from the fact our products are sourced from a company in France specialized in handmade skincare products and all lotion ingredients/extracts are whipped together to make the lotion consistency as soft and luxurious as "butter".

Exfoliation is a very important aspect of your regimen to achieve an amazing skin. However, over exfoliation can irritate your skin. Use your exfoliation kit 3 times a week and best to space usage. E.g.; if you use it on a Monday night (yes we love exfoliating at night), you skip Tuesday and use on Wednesday night. Do not exfoliate on Nights you use the detox face mask. As mentioned earlier, avoid exfoliating too much (no matter how good it feels!!). Over exfoliating also dries out the skin which can cause irritation and inflammation and adversely darken skin.. Inflammation in darker skin tones makes melanin rise to the surface of the skin, which results to hyper pigmentation.  When using lightening and brightening products during the day it makes skin very sensitive to sunlight therefore, use lightening products only at night if you can help it.

However, we recommend using our lightening lotion at night as using lightening lotions during the day can make your skin sensitive to sunlight. Our toning Lotions contain a low dose of sunscreen but if you can help it, use it (and the lightening lotion) at night and use the French butter hydrating lotion during the day.

Absolutely! We take pride in the products we retail. They are handmade by our supplier in France who focuses solely on Organic Skincare made from naturally derived ingredients. In a world filled with Chemically Synthesized Skincare products, we totally understand the importance of achieving amazing skin the safe way. Our Lotions do not contain Bleach, Hydroquinone, Mercury or Steroids.

Absolutely none. The French butter products are made from naturally derived skin actives and 88% organic ingredients and as such, you will not get any adverse side effects as is common with chemical-filled skincare products.

As with all other cosmetics, caution should be exercised when pregnant. However, as our brightening, toning and lightening lotions contain a lot of extracts we do not advise its use when pregnant. Skin lightening or Skin Toning should be avoided when pregnant, as it increases the risk of sun exposure which is bad when pregnant. The French Butter Day Lotion with spf 50 which gives your skin a glow are safe to use when pregnant (the French butter soap with goat’s milk or any of the French Butter Black Soap is best when pregnant). For our other Lotions, we advise you wait till after your baby to brighten, tone or lighten. When breastfeeding, it’s ok to use the French Butter Hydrating Lotion and Rosewater soap with Glutathione

Our French butter hydrating face cream, Exfoliating Face Brush, Detox Mask (a Must have) and French butter face & body soap with rosewater and glutathione are made to fix even the toughest acne scars. Consistency with this regimen is important to achieve desired results. After a few weeks, your skin should even out and scars will start fading.

The French butter intense fade cream is best for this. Please refer to the product page for clarity on how to use. Our BEST book an appointment for the AHA & Retinol hand and/or feet treatment for dark knuckles, hands and feet.

Most customers see results from 2 weeks with consistency and exfoliation. French butter products are suitable for all skin types. However, results may vary. 98% of users see amazing results within 2 -3 weeks. As our products are made from naturally derived ingredients, your toning or lightening progresses naturally for evenness (not an overnight get white product) hence you should achieve your desired result/get to your goal with 2 months consistency depending on the set you are using i.e. if its brightening, toning or lightening set). In the rare case you see no improvement after 8 weeks of consistency, discontinue use (or in the rare case irritation occurs).

2. face and body brush (used 3 nights a week to exfoliate the face and clean out your pores)

You’d use French butter facial soap as your regular daily soap every morning and night.

To give your Skin a polished smooth glow. This kit does not darken and won't lighten. It is pretty much very okay for all skin tones looking to get a perfect healthy "ajeboish" glow. However, if your are looking to get any shade brighter get the brightening set or any shade lighter get the toning set or brightening set depending on how many shades you desire. This Glow set contains;

**We always recommend exfoliation for best results, hence we the inclusion of the exfoliating sponge and face brush in all sets. However, you can purchase individual items in a set singly sans the exfoliation face brush.

Used only at night. It evens out, Clears acne scars, sunburn/pigmentation and brightens the face to look flawless.

The Glow set. We always recommend exfoliation for best results. However, you can purchase this set sans exfoliation kit by purchasing individual products in this set.

You can purchase then body scrub and face mask separately from the product page. However, we recommend you change your head for your face brush every 4 to 5 months.

However, if you have severe cystic acne we usually recommend you get a facial extraction done before starting your acne set for best results (Note: ensure a blackhead remover is used for your facial extraction to avoid scarring. Always ensure you go to a professional esthetician for your facial extractions. Book our monthly extraction service as recommended)

We recommend you get the Glow Set. For Older skin looking to brighten and hydrate, the brightening set is perfect. However, for older skin with face hyperpigmentation; the French butter hydrating face cream used just on the dark areas every night consistently will fade the pigmentation. Results from 2 weeks.

Our hands and face get a lot of sun exposure (especially when we drive... bet you didnt know that!) and usually the hands and feet show the first signs of aging and neglect. Yes. French butter day lotion with SPF 50 gives your skin adequate protection from uv rays without leaving a white mask or greasy feel to the skin. We recommend this as a day lotion while you use the toning lotion at night when on a journey to tone your skin.

Yes, if you have facial hyperpigmentation, sunburn or panda eyes, use/massage in your hydrating face cream on the dark areas consistently every night (results from 2 weeks). It should clear by the 4th week.

If you have acne scars or desire an even healthy clear skin, this face cream is best for you. It's perfect for all skin types.

Our best post pregnancy Regimen is this:

*You start the Brightening set with emphasis on your exfoliation kit (we can never over emphasize the importance of exfoliation). If you got hyperpigmentation from pregnancy just use/massage your face cream only on the dark patch EVERY NIGHT till it fades (it should fade by 3 weeks consistency) before rubbing all over face.

*Use your rosewater soap to make a face mask 4 to 5 times a week and leave on face for at least 3 minutes before washing off.

*After using the brightening set for 2 to 3 months consistently you should see remarkable results. Then you use the Toning set for a month or two to get you evenly toned out and then Maintain with Brightening Set.
